Ingredients
BBQ Sauce (you can also use low-sugar, clean, store-bought sauce)
- 8 oz tomato paste
- 3 Tbs apple cider vinegar
- 2 Tbs honey
- 1/2 tsp cayenne
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbs soy sauce or coconut aminos
Ribs
- 3-4 lbs baby back ribs
Instructions
- If making your own BBQ sauce, mix all ingredients together in a small bowl.
- Cut the ribs into 3 or 4 segments.
- Place them in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Pour 1 cup BBQ sauce over the ribs.
- Cook on low for 6 hours.
Tip: You can enjoy the ribs as-is, but they are significantly improved by placing them in an oven safe dish and brushing with an additional 1/4 to 1/2 cup of barbecue sauce. Broil for 3-5 minutes or until BBQ sauce caramelizes.
