Ingredients
- 3 oz. chopped turkey breast
- ½ cup cooked mirepoix, consisting of:
- 1 tsp. cooking oil or butter
- ⅓ cup diced raw onion
- 3 Tbs. raw diced carrot
- 3 Tbs. raw diced celery
- 1/2 cup diced apple
- 1 tsp. sage
- 2 Tbs. dried sweetened cranberries or cranberry sauce
- 1 Tbs. chopped pecans
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Make the mirepoix: heat butter or oil over medium heat and cook onion, carrot, and celery until soft.
- Add diced apple, sage, and chopped turkey breast to the skillet and heat through.
- Top with cranberries or cranberry sauce and pecans. Enjoy!
Notes: you can always up the protein with larger servings of meat!
