Ingredients

  • 3 oz. chopped turkey breast
  • ½ cup cooked mirepoix, consisting of:
    • 1 tsp. cooking oil or butter
    • ⅓ cup diced raw onion
    • 3 Tbs. raw diced carrot
    • 3 Tbs. raw diced celery
  • 1/2 cup diced apple
  • 1 tsp. sage
  • 2 Tbs. dried sweetened cranberries or cranberry sauce 
  • 1 Tbs. chopped pecans
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Make the mirepoix: heat butter or oil over medium heat and cook onion, carrot, and celery until soft.
  2. Add diced apple, sage, and chopped turkey breast to the skillet and heat through.
  3. Top with cranberries or cranberry sauce and pecans. Enjoy!

Notes: you can always up the protein with larger servings of meat!
