Ingredients
- 2- 4oz white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, halibut, etc.)
- 1 Tbs EVOO
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 lemon
Optional: fresh herbs like parsley or dill for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. This helsp to achieve a nice sear.
- Heat EVOO in a pan over medium heat.
- Season the fish fillets generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Place the fish fillets in the hot pan, being careful not to overcrows the pan. Cook in batches if needed.
- Cook the fish for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and flakes easily with a fork. The exact cooking time may very depending on the thickness of your fillets.
- Once cooked through, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fish.
- Serve the fish immediately with a garnish of chopped fresh herbs for extra flavor (optional).
**To complete macros, serve with 3/4 cup cooked rice or 1 large baked sweet potato with 1/2 tsp butter.
