Basic Seasonings & Whitefish (Macro Perfect Variation)

Ingredients 

  • 2- 4oz white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, halibut, etc.)
  • 1 Tbs EVOO
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 lemon

Optional: fresh herbs like parsley or dill for garnish

Instructions 

  1. Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. This helsp to achieve a nice sear.
  2. Heat EVOO in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Season the fish fillets generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  4. Place the fish fillets in the hot pan, being careful not to overcrows the pan. Cook in batches if needed.
  5. Cook the fish for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and flakes easily with a fork. The exact cooking time may very depending on the thickness of your fillets.
  6. Once cooked through, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fish.
  7. Serve the fish immediately with a garnish of chopped fresh herbs for extra flavor (optional). 

**To complete macros, serve with 3/4 cup cooked rice or 1 large baked sweet potato with 1/2 tsp butter.
